TRAVELLERS B have opened up a two point lead at the top of the Wrexham Wednesday League with just one round of matches remaining.
The defending champions recorded a 7-3 victory at Long Pull and moved clear at the top on their own after second place Crown Caergwrle were held to a 5-5 home draw by Wheatsheaf.

Neil Roberts' Travellers end the season tonight with a home match ag
ainst Travellers C and only need a draw to win the title.

The Crown finish up at bottom side Cross Foxes Coedpoeth.

Queens Head are almost certain to finish third following their 7-3 success against Golden Lion, while Y Tai A in fourth defeated Travellers C 6-4, and Malt House saw off Cross Foxes by the same score.

Division Two champions Y Tai B were not in action but Turf completed their programme with a 6-4 victory against third place Railway Club.

Colliery Club in fourth were 7-3 winners against Black Horse Wrexham and Four Dogs lost 6-4 at Red Dragon.

TONIGHT'S FIXTURES - Division One: Golden Lion v Wheatsheaf; Y Tai A v Queens Head; Travellers B v Travellers C; Malthouse v Long Pull; Cross Foxes Coedpoeth v Crown Caergwrle.

Division Two: Four Dogs v Black Horse Wrexham; Railway Club v Red Dragon; Red Lion Marchwiel v Y Tai B; Bersham Legion v Gresford Colliery.

* Two clubs boast a 100 per cent record in the Wrexham Town Centre League.

Defending champions Seven Stars won 7-2 and they hold a six point lead at the top over second place Milliners defeated Commercial 6-3.

Third place Bowling Green slumped to a 6-3 reversal against Old Swan and Black Horse beat Barracuda by the same score.
