YOUNGSTERS have made a film about growing up in their village.
Members of Gronant Youth Club will be rolling out the red carpet this week as they welcome family, friends and VIPs to the premiere.
Over the past three months the young people have been working with Music and Sound Experience (MASE) project workers on a music, dance and film project which they designed, performed and produced themselves.
Julie Morton, senior area youth worker, said: "Film projects are a great way for young people to get their views heard.
"All the young people involved have learned new skills and developed in confidence by taking part in this project.
"Using music and dance gets everyone interested and encourages them to get involved – it's also great fun!"
The project has been supported by funding from Communities First Rural North Flintshire, and has been so successful there is hope that similar projects can be run at other youth clubs in the area.
The film premiere takes place on Wednesday, and will be followed by a report by members of the youth club on the film.
